The "SFB 1244 SFB 1244 Symposium - Adaptive Envelopes and Structures" will take place on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Prof. Dr. Werner Sobek, former head of the Institute of Lightweight Design and Construction (ILEK) and initiator of the SFB 1244.
Following the symposium, the exhibition "Adaptive Architecture" will be ceremonially opened in the demonstrator high-rise building, D1244. The exhibition will occupy eight of the twelve levels of the demonstrator and will also be open to visitors during the IBA'27 Festival in June 2023.
Thus, the D1244 is a project of the International Building Exhibition 2027, StadtRegion Stuttgart (IBAʼ27) and for this reason will be presented to the public as one of the spotlights. For more information on the IBA'27 Festival, click here: "IBA'27 -Festivals".
