Design for Construction, Berlin | Keynote lecture by Lucio Blandini and Werner Sobek

November 24, 2020

"Climate protection and resource efficiency and what next?" is the central question that was discussed at the 2nd Symposium on the Art of Civil Engineering "Design for Construction" in Berlin on November 24, 2020. Structural engineers, engineers, architects and students as well as authorities, construction companies, manufacturers and universities were invited to participate in the lively exchange of ideas.

The panel "Climate Protection and Resource Efficiency in Times of Digitalization: University & Practice" also included Prof. Lucio Blandini and Prof. Werner Sobek from the Institute for Lightweight Structures, Design and Construction at the University of Stuttgart. Together with Prof. Julian Lienhard, University of Kassel, and Prof. Christian Hartz, TU Dortmund, a dialog was established that showed how, in times of digitization, ways to achieve greater sustainability in planning and construction can already be found in current university projects.

Here you will find a PDF of the online event in German language.
