On July 16, 2026, Benedikt Strahm successfully completed his doctoral defense with the highest possible distinction, “Summa cum Laude.”
His excellent research on the design of reusable segmented concrete slabs was nurtured by the interdisciplinary and creative environment at the ILEK, the research framework provided by the IntCDC and his collaboration with Corentin Fivet, who co-supervised his thesis.
The concepts developed during his doctoral research also formed the basis for the founding of the startup GreyLoop. The collaboration in the field of concrete reuse is set to continue in the future.
