Olga Miller has been awarded the 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 for her Master's thesis in the category of Innovative, Promising and sustainable Materials.
The thesis deals with the development and testing of basalt fiber-CBPC-matrix composite pipes for use in prestressed gradedconcrete; the research is being carried out as part of the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC of the UniversityofStuttgart. The ILEK has worked closely with the German Institute for Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf / Deutsche Institute für Textil- und Faserforschung Denkendorf (DITF) to develop the pultrusion process.
